Bringing Finn home has been such a joy. It's clear he was raised in a loving environment with great socialization and exposure to everyday sights and sounds, making his transition into our home incredibly smooth. He's happy, confident, and has the sweetest personality.

From start to finish, the entire experience was outstanding. Communication was excellent, meeting everyone was wonderful, and the entire process was organized and professional. The puppy package and paperwork we received were incredibly thorough. Our veterinarian was actually very impressed with how organized everything was and even commented on how uncommon it is for breeders to have already given the puppies their Bordetella vaccine.
Another thing we really appreciated was that Poppy was already microchipped, and had even gone the extra step of registering the microchip for us. It was one less thing to worry about and showed how thoughtful and thorough she is.
Most importantly, our sweet Poppy has been everything we could have hoped for. She is such a wonderful girl, and we are completely in love with her. It’s obvious she came from a breeder who truly cares about the health, temperament, and well-being of their dogs.
After going through the entire experience, I can honestly say the quality, care, health testing, and professionalism made it absolutely worth every penny. The value you receive far exceeds the price.
I truly don’t have anything negative to say. I would absolutely get another puppy from Summer’s Goldens in the future and recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a healthy, well-socialized Golden Retriever. Thank you again for giving us our amazing Poppy!

I Looked at 15 Golden Retriever breeder websites located across the Midwest. Summers website was not only the most professional in appearance, it was clearly updated regularly - most others were not. I liked the idea that the puppies had a lot of interaction with family members for socialization
The puppy we picked up in February is now 6 months old and I couldn’t be happier with our choice. Marta was great to work with - readily available for questions . The building the puppies were in was impressive. Large sandbox type enclosures for the puppies with like wood chip bedding. Adult dogs were on one side of the room with indoor / outdoor kennels and there were some adults in the adjacent large fenced in yard. I was surprised with how quiet they all were when we first walked in. I think there was even some low level background music playing. This was better than I imagined.
When we picked up our boy at 10 weeks, he was already comfortable with different textures underfoot, had been introduced to the vet, and was well-socialized with people and other dogs. That early foundation has made such a difference.
He’s been incredible in every situation whether it’s meeting new people, playing with other dogs, flying, or going on long car rides. He’s smart, playful, and so eager to learn and please, which has made training a really rewarding experience.
It’s obvious Marta truly cares about her dogs and is committed to ethical practices and setting them up for success from day one. We’re so grateful for such a positive experience and for bringing such an amazing puppy into our lives!
The best part is the puppy we have is extremely well-socialized, and ready to be part of a family. She is everything we hoped for in a golden retriever and a family dog. We have construction going on in our house right now, and she has adapted to all the loud saws and drills better than expected. She handled her first nail trim like a champ, and she is quiet when held. To put it simply, our puppy is a joy to be around. We can't recommend Summer's Goldens enough.
From e-mailing Marta when I was searching for a reputable golden retriever breeder, to receiving photos when her litter was born and then visiting to pick out my puppy and then take her home...the entire process was seamless and enjoyable! My husband and I drove over 5 hours twice (once for the 5 week visit and then to pick her up) because Summer's Goldens felt the most honest and comfortable.
Nala was already so well adjusted and socialized when we brought her home. I did a fair amount of training with her as a puppy, but I felt like she already knew a few things when we brought her home and she caught on so quickly.
She has been the best dog for my husband and I! Nala is such a sweet girl, has a spunky personality and is such a healthy dog! I attribute those things to good long lines of health in the dogs that Marta breeds and the loving environment she provides for the puppies for the 8 weeks she raises them before they go home.
We will most definitely be visiting again once we decide it's time for a 2nd dog. I can not recommend Summer's Goldens enough!!!!

They even attempt to alert me when needing to eliminate by sitting nicely at the patio door. These are our 4th and 5th goldens and we love them. “You were incredibly detailed with all of your emails regarding process, selection, care, prepping, etc. We have experience with puppies and dogs–but for people who don’t–I am sure prospective, first-time puppy owners will be very encouraged by how well you communicate.
