Flora and Tex are a special pair! They are the perfect combination of affection and enthusiasm. Flora is sweet and intuitive, making everyone around her feel welcome. She enjoys outdoor adventures just as much as cuddling with our family. Tex complements her well with his adventurous spirit, outgoing nature, and love for being wherever the people are. Together, they are friendly, intelligent, and love being around people. Both parents have completed extensive health testing, including OFA certifications for their hips, elbows, eyes, and heart, and are genetically cleared through Embark. This ensures that their puppies will be not only beautiful but also healthy and well-tempered. We can't wait to watch their puppies grow!

Therefore, we follow the Golden Retriever Club of America and the American Kennel Club's recommendations for health-testing our adult dogs' hips, elbows, eyes, and heart. Not only are our adult dogs examined in these four key areas, but they are also genetically tested through Embark, one of the most reputable and thorough genetic companies.
We take pride in raising our puppies to be happy, healthy, and ready for their adopted homes. We provide comprehensive socialization for our puppies to build a strong foundation for healthy, well-adjusted adult dogs. We want families to adopt life-long companions, not just dogs. We are members of the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA), the American Kennel Club (AKC), and the Indiana Council for Animal Welfare (ICAW). We are also licensed through the Indiana Board of Animal Health (BOAH) and the USDA. At Summer’s Goldens, we don't breed just for today; we breed with the future in mind to have healthy, happy golden retrievers for decades to come.
