Penny and Clovis are full of good-natured, happy, and kind. Together, they bring the cheerful, people-loving temperament we adore in our goldens. Penny is sweet and enthusiastic, always wagging her tail and ready to greet anyone she meets. She loves toys, belly rubs, and being part of the family. Clovis is calm and gentle, with a patient nature that makes him great with children and other animals. He has a mellow and easygoing way about him. Both parents come from strong champion lineages and follow the Golden Retriever standard beautifully. They are OFA-certified, have excellent PennHIP scores, and are genetically cleared. Penny and Clovis together have the ideal mix of joyful energy and peaceful, kind temperament. We can’t wait to watch their puppies grow!

Clovis is one of the calmest male Goldens we have ever known. He has excellent conformation to the Golden Retriever breed standard and comes from champion bloodlines on both his mother’s and father’s sides.

Our puppies are produced with integrity, raised with compassion, and dedicated with love. We believe that health-testing our adult dogs is an essential part of responsible breeding. Therefore, we follow the Golden Retriever Club of America and the American Kennel Club's recommendations for health-testing our adult dogs' hips, elbows, eyes, and heart. Not only are our adult dogs examined in these four key areas, but they are also genetically tested through Embark, one of the most reputable and thorough genetic companies.
We take pride in raising our puppies to be happy, healthy, and ready for their adopted homes. We provide comprehensive socialization for our puppies to build a strong foundation for healthy, well-adjusted adult dogs. We want families to adopt life-long companions, not just dogs. We are members of the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA), the American Kennel Club (AKC), and the Indiana Council for Animal Welfare (ICAW). We are also licensed through the Indiana Board of Animal Health (BOAH) and the USDA. At Summer’s Goldens, we don't breed just for today; we breed with the future in mind to have healthy, happy golden retrievers for decades to come.
